I have just finished an illustration for an outdoor magazine
in Wales, created mainly in photoshop with minimal handdrawn parts. The clients were over the moon with the final
design. u SB What would be your dream commission? Nina: To
illustrate pages of Elle magazine. u SB Who is your art hero?
Nina: Gustav Klimt, he mixed real life figurative paintings with
abstract elements in such a perfect way. u SB Who is are your
musical heroes? Nina: Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky. u SB
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given? Nina: Success
is 99% work, 1% talent. u SB What advice would you give to
someone wanting to get into illustration? Nina: Create, create,
create. Experiment and never give up. u SB Have you any
hidden talents? Nina: I make the best scrambled eggs in the
world. u SB If you could take a holiday tomorrow, where would
you go? Nina: New York. I would go to all those cool places I
hear about non-stop and visit all the galleries.
