Kieslowski, he talks of
his recently completed
projects for the Eden
Project and Ford
u SB This has been an exciting year for you. What’s been the best
bit? Tim: The best start to the year has to be a job I did for Ford
via Adrian Butnariu at Ogilvy Düsseldorf. They got me drawing
crazy car-wheel characters going wild like lunatics terrorizing
everyone and everything! That was fun! u SB What drew you
to illustration? Tim: Seeing an illustration on my Dad’s box of
cigars and realizing that’s what I wanted to do. u SB Do you
ha ve any formal design training? Tim: University Of Lincoln BA
Illustration, Kingston University MA Illustration and Animation.
u SB Describe your studio? Tim: I’ve recently promoted myself
to the bigger spare bedroom, I haven’t had time to redecorate so
I’m surrounded by textured wallpaper and a green carpet which
I’m doing my best to hide with musical instruments and toys.
u SB What is your biggest inspiration? Tim: I like to submerge
myself in nature as much as possible because I like the influence
it has on my work. Also I never get bored of the amazing films of
late polish film director Krzysztof Kieslowski. u SB Do you keep a
scrapbook? Tim: I keep sketchbooks, I like to record every idea in
