people. u SB How do you get your ideas? Grahame: Thinking
and dreaming. The things that school and getting a proper job
discourage. u SB Do you collect anything? Grahame: Feathers,
bits of old bark and leaves and rusty stuff. u SB Tell us about
a favourite project you’ve recently completed. Grahame: I’ve
just delivered my second picture-book, Farther for the very
marvellous Templar publishing which I wrote too. u SB What
would be your dream commission? Grahame: Well, that was
a dream commission and is about to be followed by another; a
graphic novel type of thing which I also wrote called, Tales from
Terramaunia. u SB Who are your illustration heroes? Grahame: I
was at college with Dave McKean, I think his sense of freedom,
boldness and inventiveness is extraordinary and inspiring. Also
Shaun Tan’s work, beautiful and heartfelt, and Roger Dean,
and all those amazing comics guys I mentioned at the start,
and Edmund Dulac, Kay Nielson, Arthur Rackham. u SB Who
