The Scranton Lackawanna Industrial Building Company ( SLIBCO ) develops industrial , office and commercial real estate — including the development of 15 business parks and two incubator facilities . Hailed as the national prototype for the community development corporation concept , it also supports a wide variety of state and local programs designed to further sustain the region ’ s ever-developing business climate .
The Scranton Plan , the Chamber ’ s economic development marketing affiliate , works in tandem with SLIBCO to help companies relocate to and expand in our region . Built upon a platform of business attraction , sustainment and growth , the overall mission of The Scranton Plan is to create and retain jobs and community investment for Lackawanna County .
