Class of 2020
Prior to the History & Heritage session , 95 % of the TLT class had NOT been to the Lackawanna Historical Society . Plus , because of our Financial Literacy session , 100 % of students surveyed indicated they feel more confident in managing personal finances .
Leadership Lackawanna was recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development as an Educational Improvement Organization . Five specific areas of the Tomorrow ’ s Leaders Today program were approved as “ innovative educational programs ” because they are not currently part of the academic program of a public school .
These programs are Financial Literacy , Crime and Corrections , Health Care , History and Heritage and STEAM ( Science , Technology , Engineering , Arts and Math ). During the 2019- 2020 program year NBT Bank , Fidelity Bank and The Honesdale National Bank made donations in support of these efforts .
