Leadership Lackawanna Core Program
In Leadership Lackawanna ’ s 10-month Core Program , participants gain leadership , interpersonal and managerial skills , as well as an enhanced understanding of the issues relevant to the Greater Scranton region through monthly sessions . Members of the class also devote a large portion of their time to developing and implementing community projects , which enhances their leadership abilities , fosters teamwork and benefits local non-profit organizations .
Greater Scranton YMCA Learning Center
The highlight of the Leadership Lackawanna Core Program experience for many participants is the group project . One of this past year ’ s projects was to assist The Greater Scranton YMCA ’ s Early Learning Center by providing enhancements to the existing play area which was designated for riding tricycles .
