What’s that Mitten on the Map?
THE LAKES
miles,Lake Huron is 23,007,Lake Michigan is 22,404
square miles. Lake Erie is 9,910 square miles Lake
Ontario is the smallest it’s7,340 square miles. Being
the biggest witch is Lake Superior it’s also the widest
and deepest of them all.In conclusion a lot of
Michigan’s water comes from the great lakes.
Michigan’s shape was made mostly from the
great lakes Michigan, Huron, Ontario, Michigan’s

The Cities
Now that you know Michigan’s Lakes and
location,climate,and shape here’s the cities.There are
many cities but Detroit is a very important one.Did
you know that Detroit provides lots of food such as
12,000,000 lb of chips in 1 year and Vernors ginger
ale was made in Detroit.Along with that Detroit has
a salt mine
it’s 1,200 feet under Detroit and
stretches across 1,500 acres of land. Aside from food
Detroit make a lot of cars so people call it “ The
Motor City”. Detroit was founded on July 24,1701
and now has 673,104 people. As you can see Detroit
provides lots of food and cars.
Okay Detroit wasn’t the oldest or the capital city
of Michigan but two cities in this paragraph will be.
Michigan’s capital is Lansing. Did you know Sault
Sainte Marie is oldest city in Michigan. Sault Sainte
Marie was founded in 1668.Lansing became
Michigan’s capital 1828. Do you want to know why
I won’t talk about every city 276 cities in Michigan!
