claws can’t retract (which means they can't go
back into their paws). Since their paws look
like dog paws people thought they were part
dog part cat. Therefore cheetahs need their
claws.
CHEETAHS HABITAT
Cheetahs have quit an appetite. Cheetahs eat
gazelles, impalas, rabbit, and birds. They usually
hunt modem or small sized animals. After a
cheetah catches its prey it’s usually too tired
to eat right away. A cheetah rests for 20 to 30
minutes before they begin to eat quickly.
There a very big danger for lions, vultures, and
hyenas to steal their food. With a light body
weight and blunt claws the cheetahs can’t
defend themselves very well. There for
cheetahs go through a lot to eat.
Cheetahs are good at catching prey. A
cheetah’s sharp eyesight allows it to spot prey
as far away as 3 miles. Cheetah’s are always on
the lookout for young or injured animals. By
the time an animal notice the cheetah it is
usually too late to escape. As a cheetah gets
close to the prey they reach out their paw to
trip it. Inconclusive cheetahs are good at
catching prey .
A cheetah lives in the hot savannah were it’s
cold during the night and hot during the
day.Cheetahs rest during the day when it’s
hot.The middle of the day is too hot to hunt.
Cheetahs mainly hunt in the morning and
early evening when it's not too hot.over all
cheetahs can live in the hot savannas.
Starting the cubs life is interesting. The only
time a female and male cheetah are together
is for mating. After mating the male cheetah
leaves. Once they can survive on their own
the mother finds a mate to raise a new litter.
The female cubs go their separate ways when
