Since their paws look like dog paws people thought they were part dog part cat.Therefore cheetahs need their claws. CHEETAHS HABITAT Cheetahs have quit an appetite. Cheetahs eat gazelles, impalas, rabbit, and birds. They usually hunt modem or small sized animals. After a cheetah catches its prey it’s usually too tired to eat right away. A cheetah rests for 20 to 30 minutes before they begin to eat quickly. There a very big danger for lions,vultures, and hyenas to steal their food. With a light body weight and blunt claws the cheetahs can’t defend themselves very well. There for cheetahs go through a lot to eat. Cheetahs are good at catching prey. A cheetah’s sharp eyesight allows it to spot prey as far away as 3 miles. Cheetah’s are always on the lookout for young or injured animals. By the time an animal notice the cheetah it is usually too late to escape. As a cheetah gets close to the prey they reach out their paw to trip it. Inconclusive cheetahs are good at catching prey . A cheetah lives in the hot savannah were it’s cold during the night and hot during the day.Cheetahs rest during the day when it’s hot.The middle of the day is too hot to hunt. Cheetahs mainly hunt in the morning and early evening when it's not too hot.over all cheetahs can live in the hot savannas. Starting the cubs life is interesting. The only time a female and male cheetah are together is for mating. After mating the male cheetah leaves. Once they can survive on their own the mother finds a mate to raise a new litter.
