Origami and kirigami are similar in some ways and different in others. some wase are they both have gami in them but one has ori and the other has kiri. origami is only folded whal kirigami is cut and folded. both are often confused but one is more popular than the other. Compared to origami webmaster of the origami resource center says“ I don ' t like kirigami as much because it requires scissors. So, unless you travel with scissors, it is unlikely you can do kirigami " anywhere ". Scissors are not allowed on airplanes so I cannot do kirigami when I travel, but I can still do origami.
