Have you ever noticed that wolves and
dogs look similar? That's because they share
genetics. I know you're probably wondering
how can they share genetics and still look so
different? Well they are similar in many
different ways! Read this article to find out
how wolves and dogs are similar, different,
and more of them individually.
Similarities
Wolves and dogs are more similar than you
might think, “I was inspired by dog trainer to
become a wolf trainer!” Says Chuck Gilcrease.
And wolves and dogs can even have babies
together!
Both wolves and dogs have litters (litters are
basically animal quadruplets). Like humans both
wolves and dogs find a private place to give
birth.
Wolves and dogs are also genetically similar.
Now you might be thinking but if wolves and
dogs are the same specie how come they’re so
different? Well they really aren't. Both wolves and
dogs howl, and they’re both pack animals!
They are so close in relationship that it is
possible that wolves were dying out (and still are)
and wolves evolved to become dogs and that's
how dogs became dogs.
