Habitat
The giraffe population is decreasing. They
are suffering getting pulled away from
families and getting forced to live in zoos.
Julian Fenessy a giraffe expert said,” A mix of
habitat loss, habitat fragmentation impacts of
war, and poaching. There are only going to be
a few giraffes in a couple of years…
Giraffes mostly live in Africa because of all
the savannahs they have. Giraffe like open
plains and tall trees . Did you know Giraffes
love all the Arid land in Africa that is also
why you usually see them in Africa where all
the savannahs are. But, sometimes they like to
go where there is more trees so they only go to
a lot of the dense forests. The flat land is more
safe because giraffe can bump into large trees
easily. That’s why everyone should think flat
land better than any kind of forests. Even
though it is hard for other animals to walk
in tall grass giraffes can do that easily
because giraffes are so tall and there legs can
just reach over all of the tall grass on the
savannah floor.
If the giraffe is in Africa it will probably be
in the sub saharan region of the content
Africa. The tree that the giraffes love is called
the Acacia tree that usually found around
Africa probably savannahs. The only reason a
giraffe would go on a large hill was if it
needed to cross for food or water.
How they look
A giraffe has many names during life. A

giraffe can grow more than 18 feet taller
than a African elephant, the second tallest
animal on land. Giraffes have long tongues
about 21 inches long to gather their food and,
tree branches.
The different bones is what makes a giraffe
strong. The different bones in a giraffe are
horns, skull, teeth, neck, back bone, ribs,
shoulder joint, hip joint, four legs, wrist bone,
hind legs, feet, and a tail but, that is not all
there are lots more. Did you know that
giraffe only have seven bones in there neck?
Which is the same number of bones we have.
An Okapi is the giraffe’s relative, they
look sort of like a giraffe but, more small
and has a interesting but, different type of
pattern on there face and there body
A giraffe is like a person because of
kindness eating and drinking. Some giraffe
need your help. If you see someone or something
hurting a giraffe get help as soon as possible
please! They have the same amount of life we do.
They should get treated the same way that you
want to get treated. Giraffe have NEVER hurt
a single person in history!
