Spain ๏.”Buenas tardes” means “good afternoon/night” ๏.”Buenas noches” means “good night”. ๏.”Como estas?” means how are you. ๏.”Gracias” is “thank you”, and “de nada” means “you're welcome”. ๏.”Como te llamas?” means “what's your name?”. ๏.Probably the most inportant phrase to know is... “Donde esta el bano?” It means... “where's the bathroom?” “Tengo ambre” means “I'm hungry”. ๏.“No hablo mucho Espanol” means “I don't know much Spanish”. And WHY Should I Know These? These phrases are useful almost anywhere and not just at someone's house, because people will often strike up conversation with a stranger, and may even invite people to their house, but they are usually just being polite unless they give a specific time. Spain has interesting people and an interesting language, that may not be like English but is still interesting, and that is one of the things that makes it amazing. Visiting Spain is a fun and amazing place with a beautiful landscape and is a great place to visit, although you need not feel pressure to go! WEATHER Spain is VERY hot in most places with the highest temp ever recorded being in Seville, and 122º F,(!) and the coldest being 41º F! SO BRING... Since Spain is SO HOT, you might want to bring T-shirts, hats (as in sun hats), sunblock (because of how sunny Spain is) water bottles (since you can get dehydrated easily), and tissues (because in most of Spain, the dry, hot climate promotes nosebleeds).
