LOVE RAT

We would like to present the all new

“ Jilly Cooper and Friends” syndicate.

This beautiful yearling Colt by Mawatheeq ex Watersilk has been named“ Love Rat” which as aficionados of Jilly’ s novels will know is the name of Rupert Cambell Black’ s stallion who features in Jilly’ s latest number 1 bestselling novel“ Mount”.

Love Rat’ s Dam- Watersilk, has already bred two winners trained by Scott Dixon- Crosse Fire who has won 5 times including 3 times during 2016 and been placed 8 times and Misu Moneypenny who won first time out as a two year old.
Love Rats Sire- Mawatheeq As well as being a Group winner and the product of a very strong pedigree, HEIGHT OF FASHION’ S grandson MAWATHEEQ comes with the added bonus of being one of the last sons of the legendary sire of sires DANZIG to retire to stud. Siring such legends as DANEHILL and GREEN DESERT, DANZIG’ S legacy is still felt with his final batches of young sire sons including WAR FRONT, EXCHANGE RATE and HARD SPUN all of whom have sired Gr. 1 winners.
With the weight of DANZIG in his sire line, MAWATHEEQ’ S pedigree is balanced perfectly by the class and quality of both his dam and granddam. SARAYIR is the dam of 7 winners including 1,000gns heroine GHAANATI and high-class Group performer RUMOUSH to complement MAWATHEEQ’ S own achievements at Group level.
His grand-dam HEIGHT OF FASHION, needs little introduction as the producer of the likes of NAYEF, NASHWAN and UNFUWAIN. MAWATHEEQ, of course, does not owe his position on the Shadwell roster solely to his pedigree being a Gr. 3 winner and actually unlucky not to be a Champion Stakes( Gr. 1) winner, having been hampered by TWICE OVER when finishing second, beaten only half a length, to that horse in 2009.
“ Love Rat” has already been broken in and ridden away and his trainer Scott Dixon has reported he has been a pleasure to train so far and looks an exciting prospect for the 2017 turf season.
By joining this exciting new syndicate you will have opportunities to meet Jilly Cooper at the yard when she visits and when Love Rat races.
