Our guiding beliefs provide the core principles and attributes that define Scotch and shape its identity . Importantly , they are inextricably linked to our Memorandum and Articles of Association , Christian values and our Scottish heritage . Indeed , our guiding beliefs seek to uphold our traditions and culture . They set out our core commitments and motivations , ensuring that our purpose remains clear and meaningful .
