Retezat Natural Reservation
It is located close to Hunedoara and it comprises some of the highest mountains in the country. There are a lot of glacial lakes and amazing sceneries.

Nera Gorges
Located in the Western
part of the country, the gorges are a great place to hike, as you will encounter a lot of waterfalls and caves on the way. The most famous waterfall is the Bigăr waterfall.

The Eastern Carpathians
One can encounter here amazing landscapes . You can choose to see the Red Lake, or the volcanic Lake of Saint Anna, or simply drive through the Bicaz Canyon. If you are into hiking you can also go to the “Piatra Craiului” mountains with their very rocky peaks.
