COFFEE CAROUSED.
M y very first encounter with coffee was the first time I heard Chai - coffee on a
train and wondered whatever was this 'Kofee'. My 3 or 4 year self wasn't
aware of the magic that Coffee was. Everything is interesting about coffee, from
the way it's spelt, fancy, to all the variants of it, Kumbakonam degree Kaapi to
Latte and Mocha.
Coffee finds its way into a lot of places; all nighters to dates, to running into
someone in a coffee shop, years after you've parted ways, clichés. If a piece of
meat was enough for Tom to lure Spike, the aroma of ground coffee is
enough to stop me at my feet, take me to an entire new world and cut off all
other senses. Every sip is a new experience to relish, starting with the hint of
sweetness from the sugar and milk and finally leaving with the ting of bitterness
from the coffee.
There's a reason why I'm a coffee person, than someone who prefers tea as a
regular drink, because coffee has to be perfect, it simply cannot be anything
less than that. I don't know if I believe in clichés or magic, but maybe if magic
was a drink, it would be coffee.
