EDITOR'S NOTE Sweating it out every single day, tackling numerous writer’s blocks, editing pages and pages of content good and bad, and practically bringing Scintillations to life from scratch has been quite a climb. And it has been hard. But there’s no denying that the view that it has brought along with it is worth all that pain. Amidst the conflict, the discussion, discourse, and of course the multitude of suggestions that came along with it is the reason why this edition of Scintillations has been possible. We were quite amazed, even dumbfounded, at the response we received to our call for articles. Speaking about this reminds me of something Jodi Picoult said. “You can always edit a bad page. You can’t edit a blank page”. To all the writers whose articles have been featured, I shake you warmly by the hand. The range of articles from poetry to prose to even random thoughts that you have given us is just amazing, and to all of the readers who’ll be reading this, I have absolutely no doubt when I say that they will be transported to worlds unknown, and laugh and cry with the characters. Thank you for not giving us blank pages, and instead, filling our hearts and souls with sheer bliss. To all those other writers, reach higher than the moon next time, and I’m sure you'll end up in the stars. With that being said, I present to you Scintillations 2018-19, and the team that has made it all possible. Thank you for being there, and I could not have asked for a better team. Thank you for helping to put together the very first writing workshop our college has ever witnessed, and encouraging and standing by every single decision I took. I thank the Excore for having brought us together, and the management and our faculty coordinators Mrs. G. Alamelu and Mr. P. Duvaraganathan for their never-ending love and support. Signing off, Vaibavi Jayakumar Editor-in-Chief 2018-19
