FAQs

What is the date and time of the event ?
The event will take place on Friday 16 August from 4pm-8pm . Some of the activities happening as part of SciFest might run longer than 8pm . The Exhibitions will conclude at 8pm .
Where is the event located ?
The event is located at Roundhouse , UNSW Sydney ( International Road , Kensington ). See map here .
What is the event schedule ?
The event schedule can be found below in the event program .
> Exhibitions will run between 4pm-8pm .
> Stage shows will run on the hour , at 4:30pm , 5:30pm and 6:30pm . You don ’ t need a separate ticket to attend , but seating is limited .
> Trivia starts from 7:15pm . Team registration is required ( we recommend between 4-8 people per team ). This is free to participate .
> The Science of Trust Experiment will run every hour at 4pm , 5pm , 6pm and 7pm . You must register for this experience as capacity is limited .
> Chem Class in a Glass is a paid event . You can purchase tickets here . There will be a session at 5pm and 7pm . Sessions run for 90mins .
Will food and beverages be available at the event ?
Yes . The Roundhouse bistro will be open . You can find their menu here . There will also be food trucks in the beer garden where food can be purchased . Alcohol can be purchased from the event but is strictly over 18 + and is contained to the downstairs bar and beergarden .
Is parking available at the venue ? How do I get there ?
The Roundhouse is easily accessible via public transport and the closest light rail stop is UNSW Anzac Parade ( L3 line ).
Paid casual and visitor parking is offered via the CellOPark App and ‘ pay by plate meters ’ in all UNSW car parks . For more information head here . The closest car park is the Western Campus Car Park is located here , on Anzac Parade next to NIDA . This car park can be accessed via Western Campus Drive through Day Avenue .
Is the event accessible to people with disabilities ?
Yes , the venue is fully accessible .
Wheelchair Access
The closest accessible drop off point to the Roundhouse is the north entrance via High Street , Gate 2 , follow the road to Third Avenue and turn onto 1st Avenue West . You can access more detailed information about traveling to UNSW via our interactive accessibility map here .
Assisted Listening
The Roundhouse has a hearing loop . Patrons wishing to utilise this need to simply switch their hearing aid to the T ( Telecoil ) setting to pick up on the wireless signal .
Will the event be recorded ?
Yes . There will be filming and photography taking place at the event . By entering the event you agree to be filmed and photographed . If you wish not to be filmed or photographed , you can let our event crew know on arrival .
