2019 VALID registrations are open
VALID (Validation of Assessment for Learning and
Individual Development) is a diagnostic, multi-media,
online Science test for Years 6, 8 and 10. It is mandatory
for all Year 8 students in a Government school and
optional in Year 10. You can view samples of the test
at https://sample.valid.nsw.edu.au and entering the
username: testing and the password: testing.
Extended responses for Years 6 and 10 are marked
online by teachers at each school. Teachers are provided
with 5 hours of NESA registered professional learning to
complete the marking.
Extended responses for Year 8 are marked externally.
