ARTICLES Georges River Grammar gets Hands-on for Science Week (continued) The success of the week was in large part due to high student autonomy, responsibility and involvement; organising and promoting ‘one handed’ fundraiser days, designing the Hand 2 Hand logo and theme, advertising with artworks and sculptures, volunteering after school to prepare around 1000 3D printed parts, compiling videos and mentoring in activities. STEM Week cemented the idea that STEM is inclusive of all faculties and disciplines at GRG, and worked beautifully in uniting all students, staff, parents and families and the wider community. The ‘Hand 2 Hand’ initiative will be ongoing due to how well students responded to the project via an online evaluation, highlighting GRG students’ inspiration to learn and commitment to serve.
