The first lab grown burger was eaten

A team of Dutch scientists lead by Mark Post created the first ever lab grown burger. Their teqnique involves taking stem cells from a cow and giving them stucture so they will grow into muscle. The burger did not have any fat so "it was not juicy" according to Hanni Rutzler a nutritional scientist.

New nanocrystal technology is invented

Lawrence Berkley labs have discovered that if you place a thin coating of nanocrystals on glass you can control how much light and heat passes throgh. The technology could lead to "Smart Windows" which could help naturally control the tempurture of our buildings as well as the light in our buildings. This could save lots of energy.
