impressive developments of 1971 was the Project Gutenberg it’ s a global effort to make books and documents in the public domain available electronically and for free. The first online games were precursors to World of Warcraft and SecondLife. It was developed in 1979, and called MUD( short for MultiUser Dungeon). MUDs were entirely text-based virtual worlds, combining elements of role-playing games, interactive, fiction, and online chat. At 1979 two graduate students created Usenetan internet-based discussion system, allowing people from around the globe to converse about the same topics by posting public messages categorized by newsgroups. Few years later, in 1981 Scott Fahlman proposed using „ 😊” after a joke. Then the modern emoticon was born.
The Internet grows really fast. By 1987, there were nearly 30,000 hosts. 4 years later the first web page was created. Its purpose was to explain what the World Wide Web was. In the same year at a Cambridge University computer lab one of the students created webcam. Its purpose was to monitor a particular coffee maker.
Technologies are constantly developing. Internet has completely changed how we communicate, respond or entertain ourselves. It is obvious that the science has and will continue to change the way people live and will still changing. Today we have various technologies which were designed to solve simple problems, for example, social networks like Facebook. com, twitter. com have solved communication and social interaction problem. People will always look for new solutions to make the world more comfortable. Hopefully the next generation will use it by the good way.
