Trashion is a mixture of trash and fashion. It is a term used to describe art, clothes, jewellery made of out of thrown out elements usually rubbish or trash. It was first considered a type of art couture destined for fashion shows and fashion contests; however, with the development of ECO-fashion, Trashion took another turn. It is now widely referred as fashion pieces that have been made out recycled materiel including reconditioned clothing.

In this video, there is a collection of Trashion trends shown in fashion shows that even include Stars like Cher and Lady Gaga who are believed to have a passion for Trashion.

Where do you stand on ECO-FASHION?

"Wear your garments until they are truly at the end of their useful life.

Wash them less and when you do, wash cold.

Buy vintage.

Buy from thrift stores as well as dropping off used items at thrift stores.....buying recycled is where the recycling happens.

Be active not passive. Seek out companies who are changing their practices. Write letters to your favourite company to ask them to improve ecological and social performance.

“Eco fashion has evolved to a point where you don’t know the difference where you can’t tell difference between the tradition fashion pieces and what is ecologically fashionable. You just need to know that what are wearing is tolerable by MOTHER NATURE.”
