There’ s no doubt that college is an investment, but we have some tips on how to lower the cost:
• Set a budget and stick to it. A budget will help compare anticipated college expenses against your potential available income and financial aid.
• Monthly payment plans and Parent PLUS loans are available to help finance your education. Watch your mail for information on the Tuition Management Systems payment plan or visit afford. com / stevenson.
• If your student is interested in applying for private scholarships they must research and apply for them on their own. The best place to start the research is your high school counseling office, places of worship, or a local club. Many families also consult free scholarship search sites like fastweb. com or cappex. com.
• Once enrolled, take at least 15 credits a semester. This keeps students on a fouryear path to graduation. Up to 18 credits a semester are included in full-time tuition and fees.
