GERALD DE JESÚS ROMAN-GONZÁLEZ
Applied Mathematics
Gerald appreciates the small class sizes and ease of forming close relationships with faculty throughout the applied mathematics program. This quality has allowed him to gain a more thorough understanding of the material he’ s learning. When asked what his favorite part of his major was, Gerald said,“ The ability to understand the world around us as we use mathematics because math is everywhere.” Gerald recently worked with a Stevenson professor on calculating the entropy of different languages, including constructed and natural languages.
