GERALD DE JESÚS ROMAN-GONZÁLEZ
Applied Mathematics
Gerald appreciates the small class sizes and ease of forming close relationships with faculty throughout the applied mathematics program . This quality has allowed him to gain a more thorough understanding of the material he ’ s learning . When asked what his favorite part of his major was , Gerald said , “ The ability to understand the world around us as we use mathematics because math is everywhere .” Gerald recently worked with a Stevenson professor on calculating the entropy of different languages , including constructed and natural languages .
