BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
EUROPEAN STUDY TOUR
The Brown School of Business and Leadership offers students the opportunity to take part
in an International Marketing European Study Tour. The three-or six-credit May term study
abroad experience gives students a first hand look at the global marketplace and experience
with the business cultures of other countries. As part of Stevenson’s Learning Beyond
program, the European Study Tours have brought students face-to-face with business leaders
at companies such as 3M, GE Healthcare, and Microsoft. Students have the opportunity
to take courses such as Presentation Theory, International Marketing, and Fashion
Merchandising as an integral part of a Study Tour.
Eddie C. Brown is the founder
and President of Brown Capital
Management, a Baltimore-based
financial services firm that is one
of the country’s oldest AfricanAmerican-owned investment
firms. Brown’s company reflects his
philosophy of giving back to the
community in which they achieve
success. Brown and his family
have continually personified that
philosophy in giving. In addition to
providing details of his personal story
of determination, talent, and hard
work, Brown shared his thoughts
and advice on entrepreneurship and
philanthropy.
Please see the fashion merchandising program page in this brochure for details about the tour.
