As technology managers , business information systems graduates are responsible for delivering information services to the enduser while cost-effectively administering their organization ’ s information resources .
The business information systems major consists of core courses in programming , network , and database design followed by a career-focused track in technology management or e-commerce technology . After completing a series of practical IT courses , students take a sequence of dynamic business courses .
Many graduates of this program continue their education at the graduate level by pursuing a master ’ s degree in business and technology management through the five-year B . S . to M . S . option .
