CHAPTER THREE
THE LAW OF THE GODS
Summary Scripture: Galatians 6:2- Bear ye one another ' s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
NOTES
In the preceding chapters, we discovered that we are indeed gods. Hold on to that truth. Do not allow doubt or controversy to pervert that which the Lord has clearly stated. Yet ask yourself... to what purpose is God speaking to us? Does He want us to become lifted in pride, so we might arrogantly explain to men that we are so much better than them? I think not. The Father has sent us to serve this present age; the Son( s) are not sent to condemn the world, we have been chosen to be the light of the world, that through Him( them) the world might have a hope of salvation( John 3:16-17). But now it is imperative we understand that which is expected of us.
Let us look again at the intention of God in joining us to the Spirit of Christ. We are able to get a glimpse as Jesus prays in the Garden saying, Father, make them one, as we are one. He went on to explain what He meant.
John 17:20-23 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Though the scripture above is pretty much straight forward, there is one thing I would like to really zero in on; and that is the last verse;“ that they may be made perfect in one.” If the Father answered the Lord’ s Prayer, then the church ought to be perfect; because of its oneness with God. This is the part of the gospel of Christ most rejected by the clergy today. God’ s children were born perfect. They have no birth defects. They are complete in Christ. They are holy.
