Many developing countries face significant environmental threats that propel governments to enhance their natural resources management to mitigate the risks not only to the environment but also to the local communities . Increasing threats such as flooding , vegetation degradation and urban heat island effects are exacerbated by climate change , which then intensifies the socio-economic impacts on vulnerable communities . My primary research interest is in developing sustainable and climate-resilient communities through effective natural resources management . I leverage artificial intelligence / machine learning to model land uses , flood risks , vegetation indicators and urban heat island effects . By modelling the relationships between various variables , we can optimise them for the best designs to minimise environmental impacts . This
Automated progress monitoring using BIM assisted with VR and other technologies such as unmanned vehicles can offer efficient real time progress updates . This research aims to streamline the the monitoring of construction activities during execution of the projects .
Another research is about the use of VR / AR to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of facilty management assisted with the BIM model . This research can help to improve the facility management and promote proactive preventive maintenance . The use of the huge data and analyse them using machine learning can also help to improve decision making and forecasting in construction projects . approach enables responsive and data-driven decisions in natural resources management strategies . With advancements in technology such as remote
