The team comprising of GRACE LEE , JULIANA FRENCH , and SHARON KOH embodies excellence in community engagement and research impact . Through strategic partnerships with NGOs , government agencies and international organisations , they drive initiatives aimed at empowering marginalised communities and addressing pressing social issues . Their endeavours include organising high-impact conferences like the Women Entrepreneurs in Asia ( WEA 2022 ), which promoted economic empowerment for women in vulnerable communities .
Additionally , their project “ Greying Malaysia : Is there a sustainable future ?” tackles the challenge of Malaysia ’ s aging population , establishing the groundwork for a comprehensive aged care framework through collaborative roundtable discussions with key stakeholders from government and NGOs . In 2023 , their continued efforts strengthened this foundation with key stakeholders from various sectors including the Social Welfare department , Malaysia Healthy Ageing Society , Institute of Strategic and International Studies , Khazanah Research Institute , NGOs and think tanks .

TEH PEI LEE ’ s research in Information Systems , Gerontechnology , Innovation and Learning has made a significant impact on national and global policies and practices . Her study , commissioned by WHO , on “ A Digital Healthy Aging Coach for Older People ( AGATHA )” resulted in the development of a bilingual training module . The findings were adopted by WHO to redesign the AGATHA application , promoting healthy aging and inclusive design principles for digital tools .
Furthermore , she provided recommendations to the United Nations Development Program ( UNDP ) regarding the impact of climate change and demographic shifts on aging society . Her insights contributed to foresight reports for Economic Planning Units and state governments . Pei Lee is also a member of Malaysia ’ s Health Cluster for National Aging Blueprint and collaborates extensively with NGOs to enhance the well-being of aging communities and shape policy for healthy aging .
