Cambridge Young Learners English Tests are aimed at children
between 7-12 years who learn English as a foreign language in elementary or language schools . The exams are designed to be fair to all test takers , whatever their age , gender , nationality , first language or ethnic background .
Cambridge English Young Learners exams tests four language skills – ‘ reading , writing , listening and speaking ’. All the exams are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ( CEFR ) – the international standard for describing language ability .
There are three young learners English tests ; Starters , Movers and Flyers . Starters can help the students take their first step towards understanding basic English content , enjoying book , television and films in Egnlish and make friends globally .
Movers is the second of three Cambridge English : Young Learners ( YLE ) tests for children . The tests are written around familiar topics and focus on the skills needed to communicate effectively in English through listening , speaking , reading and writing . Movers can help you to understand basic instructions or take part in simple conversations , to understand basic notices , instructions or informations , to complete basic forms and write notes , including times , dates and places .
Flyers is the third of three Cambridge English YLE tests for children . This test introduce children to everyday written and spoken English and are an excellent way for them to gain confidence and improve their English . This exam can help you to understand simple written English , to communicate in familiar situations , to understand and use basic phrases and expressions and to interact with English speakers who talk slowly and clearly .
