A BEARCAT COME BACK: WHEN THE BEARCATS WE BUILD COME BACK TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. By: Holly Kapp Chad Stoker, Sherman High School graduate and lifelong Bearcat, talks with students at Dillingham Intermediate, where he is an assistant principal. In Building Bearcats, Sherman ISD hopes to build up students who not only give back to their community in their time at SISD schools, but also who go above and beyond in kindness, ambition, and service, before and after graduation. So, when a student spends their early academic career in SISD schools, and then comes back to serve those very schools, 16 “Our goal as educators is to ensure our students have the necessary skills for college and future careers.” the notion of Building Bearcats has come full circle. “I had opportunities in other districts,” Chad Stoker, Assistant Principal of Dillingham Intermediate School said. “But going back to your hometown and making an impact, resonated with me.” Stoker spent his entire K-12 education in Sherman schools.
