LATOYA PIERRE
LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE TEACHER
CROWLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL
“She’s a teacher leader. Some of the teachers that I
have spoken to have said they have encouraged her
over the years to obtain her teacher certification
because she has what it takes. So while she may be
a paraprofessional here on paper, she is a teacher at
heart.”
Paula Brooks, Principal
Jackie Carden Elementary School
On LaToya Pierre:
“We know that our kids are coming to us with the
best that they have, and her job is to grab those
kids, wherever they are, and make them reach their
fullest potential on a day-to-day basis. We know that’s
a difficult task, but she’s up to it. She’s truly an
inspiration to all of the students that are able to walk
through her door.”
Omarian Brown, Principal
Crowley Middle School
