MERIT AWARDS

This award is offered to students who have achieved an outstanding ATAR or equivalent.

NEW STUDENTS

Availability For entry into any undergraduate course except for the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Pharmacy( Honours).

Benefits RM5000 tuition fee waiver per semester.

Conditions

• Maintain satisfactory academic progress which, for the purpose of retaining the scholarship, is defined as maintaining an average score of at least 75 %( in at least 24 credit points of study) each semester

• Must not fail any unit in any semester

• Must not receive any other tuition scholarship and other financial assistance, with the exception of a PTPTN loan

• Be responsible for paying your tuition fee balance each semester

• Be enrolled on a full-time basis throughout the duration of your course; an intermission or leave of absence will not be allowed unless due to extenuating circumstances.

Application and closing dates No application is necessary. If you’ ve met the eligibility requirements, you’ ll be automatically considered for the award. Successful candidates will receive the award offer with their offer of admission.

CONTINUING STUDENTS

This award is also available for continuing students, based on outstanding academic achievements( top 1 % of the current undergraduate population of the school). Nominees must have completed one year of study with an average score of 80 % without failing any units. Visit monash. edu. my / scholarships to learn more.

Eligibility

• Completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification with an outstanding Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank( ATAR) or equivalent, as determined by the University. Only your actual examination results will be considered.

• If you’ ve already commenced tertiary studies or are transferring with credit exemptions and / or advanced standing, you won’ t be eligible for the award.

Tuition Fee Waiver

This scholarship is offered to commencing or continuing students who are athletes competing at the national level for Malaysia.

Availability For entry into any undergraduate course except for honours degrees.

Benefits RM5000 tuition fee waiver per semester.

Eligibility

• Be a Malaysian citizen

• Provide a verification letter from the National Sports Council of Malaysia 1

• Meet the minimum admission requirements for the chosen course.

Conditions

• Maintain satisfactory academic progress and sporting performance, as determined by the University

• Contribute to sport at Monash, including representing the University in a club / society or at inter-university competitions and activities.
