Ian Rankin honours creative Fife College students
Acclaimed crime writer Sir Ian Rankin has once again recognised the creative talents of Fife College students , awarding his annual creative writing scholarships to three well-deserving recipients .
Famed for his Rebus novels – the subject of a new highlyacclaimed BBC series adaptation – Sir Ian continues to support budding writers through the Ian Rankin Scholarship , a tradition he has upheld since 2005 . This year , the scholarships were awarded to Arron Cuthbert , Megan Lewis , and a learner from HMP Glenochil , whose impressive creativity and writing stood out amongst the rest . The Ian Rankin Scholarship , managed by Adam Smith Scholarships at Fife College , is open to all full-time students . It provides a unique and very exciting opportunity for students to submit their creative work , which is then reviewed by the world-renowned author himself .
