It’s just that feeling you get inside when you know something without doubt. BJ - God gave me a gift and it would be a sin to not use that gift wisely and show my appreciation. I also, without effort, inspire others to believe in them self, so I know I have what it takes. No doubts. My family also has my back. Since I moved to Columbia, I have been fortunate to link up with a few. First, I want to introduce you to KRT Kartel from Columbia, SC. Organized in 2003l the group consist of 3 Members: Richard - (AKA) Daheart Brandon - (AKA) Mr. BJ Lawrence - (AKA) LB heir beats come from Zaytoven, One of Gucci Man’s producers, 6 Man from Columbia, SC. Will be on Love & Hip Hop soon. The group has been touring the southeast, doing shows in Columbia at, Palace, Sound Stage, Library and Pure. In Atlanta at Onyx and they won the Coast to Coast DJ competition at Harlem Nights. Also performed in Charlotte at The Chop Shop with fleet DJs and in New Orleans. They have opened for Yo Gotti, French Montana, Young Thug, K Camp & Obie Trice. They have recently been recording in Block Ent. In Atlanta and Maximus Music Studio in Charlotte, NC. They are currently signed with NAWD SC record label, out of Columbia, SC. asked each of the members questions & these are their responses: 1: How long have you been Singing/Rapping? LB - Since 2004 BJ - Since 1995 T I Da Heart - Since 2000 2: When did you decide to pursue a career in music? LB - As soon as I started. The responce from the people who heard me, let me know that I have a chance, so I went for it. BJ - In 6th grade. Others were dreaming about, NBA & NFL while I was dreaming about BET Awards. Da Heart - I realized I wanted to make music a career when I learn my words my voice had the power to make people move and that’s all a true artists really want to move the world to their own drum. 3: Who inspires you? LB - No One, just my determination to show my son that he can be anything he wants to be. I have plans to bring in music new and original enough to be labeled as a new genre BJ - NWA, Yo Gotti, Easy E, Snoop & Pimp C because they stay true to them self and give back to their communities. Da Heart - R.Kelly as a long time legend in the game for more than 25 years is still relevant. He has faced many situations ignored the press and lets the music speak. He inspired me to not only do the same and try to do it better.
