How about a regional club? hmmmmm. The Fillmore is pretty awesome, but we don’t play there as much as we would like. Amos’ Southend is a favorite for sure. Tremont Music Hall is also cool for more intimate shows. Let’s get everyone’s opinion on this. If someone ask you for advise about being in a band or about starting one, what would you say? Would you encourage or discourage them? We would say go ahead and do it, because you will have experiences that you would never have otherwise. Your band mates become your family and its incredible being able to work towards the same goal and share the same experiences together. What are some of your likes and dislikes about being in a band? The only thing we don’t like is being sore the day after a show..the rest of it, you’ve gotta love it. Who have guys shared a stage with? Any national acts? Oh wow, there’s been a bunch. So many great local bands, regional and national acts. Some of the nationals are: Adelitas Way, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Saving Able, Tantric, Eyes Set To Kill, Fit For Rivals, New Medicine, Otherwise, Zach Myers of Shinedown, Sum41 and more. Most bands dream of making it big or reaching the top. Do you guys have that dream or do you care if you get a recording contract? We are working towards taking this band as far as we are able to. We put our hearts and souls into it and if we come out on top then we would be ecstatic, but we do it because we love it either way. How do you balance your music with other obligations like school, work, or girlfriend? We all make it work somehow! hahaha So that’s about it any last words? Thank you for the interview! Stay tuned for big things coming up in 2015! New announcements coming soon. Thank you for the support taking the time to read this! www.somethingcleverband.com continue from page 9-Blackcat Sunshine What is the most important thing people should know about Blackcat Sunshine? We get together every week before practice and eat dinner together. Talk about the week, make each other laugh or vent about life. We go out together on nights we’re not playing and check out other local musicians. We really enjoy each other’s company – just five friends who are lucky enough to have a musical chemistry. So many bands come with “band drama,” and we are happy to have none of that. We love each other and the music we play and want the audience to feel that, as well. We want them to have a good time because we are. And thank you, bartenders, for helping us and the audience “feel it” even more! www.facebook.com/blackcatsunshineband continue from page 18-A World of Lies be heard and not watered down or become some pop metal bullshit. So what ever direction let’s us keep our creative ability and do the music we love is the path we will take. How do you balance your music with other obligations like school, work, or girlfriend? No time for school or women Nate-You have to have a set time/schedule to practice no matter what Ryan-Unlike a lot of other bands, though not uncommon for our scene, half the band lives in Burnsville and the other half lives in Asheville. So since the start there
