If you were asked to describe your band’s sound or
who you sound like, what would you say?
Energetic Rock with elements of Funk!
drugs and stuff so, my suggestion would be for you to
run as fast as you can to music store and start applying your talents to a instrument, for basement pleasure
Who would you guys say was the biggest musical or non-musical influence on each of you? And
why?
The Beatles! Maybe Jesus/Charlie too…
As a band do you guys have a favorite local
club? What makes it your favorite? How about a
regional club?
We love the Orange Peel because of the great
staff and the amazing artists that have performed
there. It’s quite a thrill to possibly use the same toilet
as Bob Dylan, Jack White or Thomas Pridgen.
Let’s get everyone’s opinion on this. If someone
ask you for advise about being in a band or about
starting one, what would you say? Would you encourage or discourage them?
ANDREW: Encourage! We need more rock bands
out there. It’s a lot of fun to be in a band. A lot of work
as well and it’s kind of like being married to 2 different people with the music taking place of sex. We truly
make a great sound on stage and we deep down love
each other. I’m getting all teary eyed now…
JTB: Hell nah! It’s a lot of fun and you do a lot of
only.
Michael: Yeah, start a band!
What are some of your likes and dislikes about being in a band?
Performing our brand of rock and roll is what it’s
all about. I dislike the haters. In the eternal lyrics of T.
Swift: Skaters gonna hate, mate, late, plate, crate.
Who
have
guys
shared a stage with? Any
national acts?
We have played with
a ton of bands across
America. In Asheville we
have opened for Lionize
and The Movement, both
great, national acts!
Most bands dream of
making it big or reaching
the top. Do you guys have
that dream or do you
care if you get a recording contract?
We would be lying if
we said we didn’t want to
be on a major label. However, recording companies are falling to shit and
the Internet has leveled a
lot of the playing field. It
would be nice to have a
bank roll to tour on but
as we progress, we make
more dough and filter it
back to the band. Vertical
integration ya’ll!
How do you balance
Page 12
your music with other obligations like school, work, or
girlfriend?
Scheduling! We all have girlfriends, day jobs and our
bassist has an adorable 2 year old. We all have other interests but again, we make a great sound on stage. It’s
like a drug, and we are
addicts!
So that’s about it any last words?
Keep ya head off the rubbarb.
