SM: What do you think about when you write? What’s your process?

AC: I focus on getting all my feelings on the paper in the quietest setting possible. I need to be alone with my thoughts and feelings to have them make sense on the paper. Each time I write a piece, there is a hope that someone relates and is healed, inspired or simply touched

SM: What do you see for your future?

AC: My goals are to continuously enhance and grow through my gifts and talents so I never feel complacent. Writing is much a part of me as breathing, so being able to share that in any forum is something I will continue to do throughout my time here on planet Earth. I also have other goals of starting my own business and starting a foundation.

SM: Any final thoughts?

AC: Throughout my journey with writing and life in general, I’ve noticed that no matter how distinctive you look and sound, there will always be people who want to compare you to someone else; don’t be that person or those people. I’m a firm believer that we are all put here for a unique purpose known only to one’s self and there is no way we can be as fulfilled or live most abundantly if we are trying to be someone else. Let your art be your art and share it with the world but don’t put the brush in their hands.

SM: What things in life are you passionate about?

AC: I am a child of God, so I’m first and foremost passionate about living a life that reflects my relationship with him with the hopes that people can see and appreciate that light. I’m also very passionate about chasing my dreams and inspiring others to do the same. I feel that actually living life is an ancient practice us as people have gotten away from and desperately need to reinforce in our current generation and the future ones to come.
