17 18 19 20 22 21 Photos 17 through 22 show the progression of applying the Warbird Colors. The nice thing about Warbird Colors paint is it is water based making clean up simple and no nasty fumes to deal with. They can also match Federal Stock numbers for US and Allied aircraft. The green top coat was applied over the entire upper surface of the model. They grey was airbrushed over it forming the camouflage, this was the same process used on the full scale subject. You need to plan time for this as you cannot rush it. The photo documentation on Gabby’s P47 was very sparse, and mainly black and white pictures with only limited views of the entire colour scheme. The stars and bars were applied with Pro-Mark 2 mil Vinyl graphics and the invasion stripes were masked with 3M automotive mask- 18
