It makes a partnership with the Prestigious Swiss watch brand Tissot brand so much more than mutually beneficial marketing and promotion .
WorldSBK racing began one early spring weekend in the middle of England , in the year 1988 . Official WorldSBK sponsors Tissot , by comparison , started as a company way back in 1853 and began Motorsport sponsorship in 1938 . That ’ s a full 50 years before WorldSBK was even officially born . After a fruitful relationship with WorldSBK ’ s prototype stablemate in Dorna ’ s suite of race series – MotoGP™ – the innovative Swiss watch brand and the multi-national WorldSBK paddock joined forces for the first time in 2011 . Any regular WorldSBK fans would almost certainly answer the question of what Tissot ’ s most recognisable input is in the recent era with the answer “ Tissot Superpole !” Nowadays the Swiss company ’ s presence extends not only to the final qualifying competition for grid places on Saturdays during a regular race weekend but since 2019 , Sunday ’ s 10-lap Tissot Superpole Race too . It makes for a big Tissot presence on both main days of any race weekend .
