Compared to the north of Italy , and the south of Italy , in this part of Italy the fans are in big numbers . It is more popular all the racing spirit comes from this area . Of course Italy is a good country , the weather is nice , and you can use the motorbike , scooter . The weather somehow helps . In the middle and the south it is easier to use a bike for ten months ! I think WorldSBK still is big in Italy because the first promoter of WorldSBK was an Italian company . That helps a little bit more . This situation was the beginning and things always go up and down , like a wave . But WorldSBK has a lot of fans in Italy .”
Davide Gentile , KRT Electronic Engineer : “ We are passionate for racing , noisy engines , something that is revving . Maybe we are just enthusiastic people . It is a good question because I have no answer . When I was young something that was pushing , fast , was the best thing I could have . But if you ask me why , I dunno …! My father was in love with racing cars , but was not a driver . In Italy there are many people using motorbikes and when you ride a big bike maybe you are more interested in racing with this kind of bike . MotoGP™ is a bit more far from what you can use and you can buy , to go on the street . So , thinking about racing with something similar to what you can buy , is for sure very interesting . And people ride on the tracks with their road bike a bit more now . In my region in the north east there is not a lot of tracks nearby by in but in Emilia Romagna , this is another story , they are crazy for racing and motorbikes since forever ! It is different from everybody else in Italy .”

Denis Sacchetti , GO Eleven Ducati Team Manager : “ I am from ‘ Motor Valley ’, Cesena . In all parts of Italy love motorsport , cars , bikes , everywhere in Italy . But of course in the Motor Valley area we have more opportunity to live this passion and do these sports . We have Misano , Imola , Mugello is really near . We have a lot of tracks , also Ducati , Lamborghini , Ferrari . In the past many others too . Massimo Tamburini was in San Marino / Rimini . We transfer the passion from my grandfather , to my father to me . It is a long story in Italy . Racing was also in the cities , in the seaside towns – Rimini , Cesenatico . For us it like the passion for the girls – it is inside ! MotoGP™ has many more fans than Superbike but in WorldSBK we have the fans with the passion for motorsport inside . In MotoGP™ there are more fans from the general public . For my team , with Ducati we have much more appeal with our sponsors and with the fans , everyone . Especially in Italy but also in other countries in the world . The brand of Ducati has a lot of appeal . And myself , I am happy because Ducati is made in Italy ! We feel more the passion . It is more personal . But we Italians also love the best bike and rider in the race .”
Rossi for sure he is a big star , but also people in Italy love anything with engines , and motorbikes .
