THE WORLD ACCORDING TO ASIA

The arrival of WorldSBK at the all-new Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia is by no means the first visit of the premier production derived race series to an Asian country , or even Indonesia itself . But it is a welcome return to an entire continent that we have all missed out on visiting recently . We now look back at the significance Asia has had in the championship since way back at the start in 1988 .

All the major Japanese factories have won the Riders ’ title , and all have underpinned the grid .
