YAMAHA OFFERS RACE BRED OPPORTUNITIES TO ALL

YAMAHA
As a company Yamaha has been synonymous with racing and high performance motorcycles since its creation in 1955 . In a more modern era the idea of moving from street to racetrack is the bedrock of all the production-derived racing classes inside the WorldSBK paddock .
Always on hand with support and parts for competition use of it array of race replica products , Yamaha ’ s prowess last season was demonstrated by a triple crown of WorldSBK titles , for Toprak Razgatlioglu as a rider , Pata Yamaha with Brixx as the winning team and for Yamaha as a manufacturer . It was also a Yamaha clean sweep in the WorldSSP category for Ten Kate Racing Yamaha ’ s Dominique Aegerter . Yamaha WorldSSP riders have won the last five World Championships in succession .
Such success is a direct result of the ceaseless work done by all involved in Yamaha ’ s racing efforts , by staff who translate their racing experiences into performance parts for customers to buy .
As well as supporting teams directly involved in the WorldSBK , WorldSSP , WorldSSP300 and R3 EU Cup classes , Yamaha develops its Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing ( GYTR ) parts on the track to pass on the final benefits to its race customers . This includes developing specialist items with partners such as Öhlins suspension .
Yamaha has reached a new level recently after launching trackspecific models from the all-conquering YZF-R range . R1 , R7 , R6 and
R3 track customers now have one central source of official Yamaha racing parts and even complete machines via the GYTR system , all designed for track only use . The R7 is the ultimate expression of this new philosophy regarding trackday use of production platforms as it is not sold as a road model , but was conceived to provide affordable thrills only for closed circuit . Not for highway use but for racetrack thrills .
For 2022 Yamaha will continue its total commitment to Supersport riders and teams with the R6 RACE and the R6 GYTR – two exclusive track machines with class-leading performance . The R6 RACE will be available in sleek Tech Black with gold coloured forks for 2022 , and will be supplied in track-ready trim with non-essential road components excluded – such as headlight , position lights , mirrors , horn , licence plate holder , tandem seat and tandem footrests . This reduces weight in order to further maximise performance , making this non-homologated machine ideal for track day riders , as well as being the perfect base model for racers who want to personalise it to their own specification .
The new R6 GYTR will be available for 2022 , exclusively from Yamaha Pro Shop dealerships . Designed for a wide selection of customers from track day riders through to racers , the R6 GYTR is also the clear choice for more demanding competitors who want to take the bike ’ s performance to an even higher level by fitting a range of engine , suspension or other components from the GYTR line-up .
