One of the many things that Argentina is famous for is the tango , a dance in which the best marks in competition are gained when there is no gap between the dancers , as they move around in a series of fluid movements , yet still performed in a strong staccato beat . When WorldSBK gets to Argentina for the 12th round of the season the dance floor will be the awesomely conceived Circuito San Juan Villicum . Although early racing life has not always gone smoothly for the undulating 4.276km circuit it is in many ways a favourite venue for many . The city of San Juan ’ s latest circuit is not its only one . Those with a very long memory can recall a circuit called Zonda - named after the local seasonal wind created by mountains to one side - and it still exists , almost intact . Or at least it did two or three years ago . Take the road straight west from the small city of San Juan and you can go and see one of the most atmospheric and scenic racetracks ever built . A cross between a James Bond move set from the 1960s , an old-school race track with a backdrop of sheer mountains on three sides ( think a South American small scale Salzburgring but with closer mountains ) and with a figure 8 , over-and-under layout at one end . It is unique , a must-see if you have a spare afternoon .
