The first ever WorldSSP championship , as we know it now as a full FIM championship at least , began in 1999 .
The WorldSSP Championship as we know it will be no more in 2022 . Don ’ t worry , it ’ s not going anywhere , just morphing into something a little different . WorldSSP will still be nestling in the warm embrace of those who love it inside WorldSBK ’ s family home . With a change in the air , we now look back on the wild , the wonderful and the simply unbelievable WorldSSP championship happenings , and some of the major steps throughout its tempestuous and always entertaining life .
