To celebrate that new business-to-business bond Motul introduced a co-branded product aimed at all European Kawasaki riders in 2020 . Not only does this Kawasaki Lime Green Edition by Motul 10W-40 engine oil exceed Kawasaki ’ s technical demands but it has been coloured lime green during production - and it even smells of limes !
This product , developed in co-operation with Kawasaki , is based on Motul-Technosynthese ® with ester technology . Motul has been successfully using high-performance ester-based motorcycle engine oils in professional motorcycle racing for decades , and that experience also benefits road riders . In the form of the co-branded Lime Green Edition , it specifically benefits Kawasaki riders .
Kawasaki Germany and Motul have also co-operated in a performance-oriented makeover of a standard showroom Z650 , creating a ‘ Red Zed ’ twin-cylinder street legal middleweight rocket , adorned by special red Motul paintwork and graphics . Show and Go , created in co-operation with Slaty .
Since the 2020 season Motul has added and strengthened its presence with key Kawasaki teams in the overall WorldSBK paddock .
A partnership with the Benelux based MTM Racing Team began in 2020 , and saw instant success with teenage Dutch rider Jeffrey Buis . He became world champion in the full FIM World Championship WorldSSP300 category , running inside the MTM Kawasaki team - and using Motul lubricants .
And just one year after MTM Kawasaki and Buis ’ championship win ? Another one , for Spanish rider Adrian Huertas …
This year Motul and Buis have also forged a personal partnership , after he made the next logical step in his career by moving up to the WorldSSP class , riding a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R as part of the Italian-based MotoZoo Racing by Puccetti team .
