Sincerity Personnel raise £900 for Grove Cottage
Local recruitment company Sincerity
Personnel, based in Bishop’s Stortford,
has supported Grove Cottage with
an initiative where the fi rm has
donated £100 to the local charity for
every person successfully recruited
over a 2-month period. Now that
the initiative has come to its end
Grove Cottage, the home of Mencap
in Bishop’s Stortford, has received a
cheque for £900 from the scheme.
The local charity provides social and
educational activities for people of all
ages with a learning disability. From
their youngest member who is only
2 to their oldest member who is in
their 80’s the charity helps all ages in
between to develop their potential and
to avoid social isolation by developing
lifelong friendships. The charity also
aims to provide much needed respite
to parents who are often exhausted
and sometimes at breaking point. It
costs over £400,000 to run the charity
for one year so donations such as this
are vital.
Marie Kinchin, owner of the business,
has said “It’s great to be able to
support a local charity through our
work and Grove Cottage is most
deserving. I visited the Grove a while
ago so have seen fi rst-hand the great
work that they do and was inspired to
do something to help.”.
Rosie Wren, fundraising manager for
Grove Cottage, thanked Marie for
taking on the challenge and said “We
were so thrilled when Marie told us
about her plans and our excitement
only grew with every email to say
that another candidate had been
successfully recruited and that another
£100 was on its way to us. We are
so grateful for the support that we
have had from Marie and we really
could not continue without support
from local companies like Sincerity
Personnel.”
Marie’s fundraising mission has not

fi nished yet though and now plans
to ride from London to Brighton
on September 16th to raise even
more money for Grove Cottage.
Marie said ‘I am really excited to be
taking on the London to Brighton
challenge and now need to get
myself out on some practice rides!”
