What can Ingersoll Rand offer
to the oil and gas industry?
Ingersoll Rand advances the quality of life by creating comfortable,
sustainable and efficient environments. We are a $13 billion global
business committed to a world of sustainable progress and
enduring results.
In high-risk industries like oil and gas we bring customers peace
of mind with product design excellence, on-time delivery, reliable
aftermarket services and trusted partnership.
Our portfolio of lifting and material handling solutions consists of
personnel lifting equipment, winches, hoists, and BOP handling
systems designed to withstand harsh environments and safely
move employees and assets in industrial, onshore and offshore
applications.
Describe Ingersoll Rand’s
current industry and where
do you think is it headed?
Traditionally, Ingersoll Rand’s Material Handling business is heavily
focused on offshore oil and gas exploration and production
activities. As we continue to develop business in this space,
we anticipate the need for “smarter” products which allow for
connectivity and remote monitoring that drilling customers are
growing accustomed to and relying on for their operations.
Incorporating technology into our products to allow for predictive
maintenance will provide value beyond the job the machine was
designed to do, and will improve the usability and reliability of the
machine over time.
Additionally, we have expanded our presence into the onshore
drilling space both in the Americas and in the Middle East. We
believe that as onshore drilling becomes more prevalent, operators
will require higher standards of safety and will want to rely on a
company with a reputation for safety for their equipment.
