A NEW CAMPUS AND THE BIRTH OF SASS
So, eight years on from leaving Monash Sunway, I’m
still at university. Whilst my aspirations to become
a lecturer were never realised, I have found myself
employed by EBSCO Information Services, a global
library and information services vendor. In my role as
Director of Book Sales (Oceania & Sub-Saharan Africa)
I meet with libraries to discuss and understand their
needs, to provide collection development and workflow
solutions for print and eBooks for academic libraries.
I am also studying a Master of Information Studies,
so will soon be qualified as a librarian. I have also had
a paper published in a peer-reviewed journal, so the
love of research remains. I have also started giving
guest lectures on the role of the library vendor to other
Masters students studying information studies.

My time at Monash University Malaysia was life-
changing and I fell in love with Malaysia in more ways
than I have probably mentioned. Now I am married to
Marrying Alicia Yeoh (Dec 2017). ▼
a Malaysian, I can call Malaysia my second home.
I look forward to returning to Subang each time
we come back – walking over old ground and
old memories. The friendships and relationships I
developed during my time at Malaysia have been
enduring and some will be life-long.
Happy 10th Anniversary to the School of Arts and
Social Sciences!
